Art.
Yes, we make art. We are an ever expanding and growing collective of artists that takes our traditional studio practices and the creation of art objects into a ritual and communal space of healing and transformation. The work that we make arises organically out of the phenomenal process of mapping consciousness and the land. Private commissions emerge out of landscape design, subtle body maps morph into architectural ornament, and stone altars arise from ancestral healing. We are here for it all and committed to making art conscious.

Drawing, mapping, sculpting, and en plein air work are an integral part of listening. Traditional, non-traditional, and ritual forms of drawing, mapping, painting, installation, and sculpting appear through out the Make Conscious creative ecosystem as process driven methodologies for the excavation of consciousness.
-
Through listening, an inner and outer dialogue forms. The psyche travels through first by way of vision, and finds built form through inspired weavings with materials, elements, voices, and media. We journey together with the muse.
-
We are changed by every project. We may think we activate the world through our art, but perhaps it is the art that activates our own humanity through deepening our connection to what is possible. With humility and gratitude we continue to offer our creative process and work to the planet, the ancestors, and the land.
Some of the Intersections
Phenomenal Mapping + Drawings
Our client intake process for multi-dimensional projects that span architecture, organizational transformation, and design begin with a phenomenal map. Designing your garden may necessitate mapping your ancestral homelands and seeing how your migration journey anchors into your current residence. Art allows design to go the distance. Design brings the art home.
Land Healing + Murals
More often than not, after a land healing process, the Genius loci (spirits of the land) end up painted on an exterior wall. Through the work we have met rainbow dragons, spirit jaguars, colombian frogs, ancestral ornament, and more!
Ancestral Healing + Altars
In our work with private residences and cultural institutions, such as phenomenal museum, our ritual activations yearn for the creation of a liminal space, a portal to anchor the passageway for future travellers. The altars can be temporary installations, or more permanent fixtures carved in stone.
