One of the perennial questions is where spiritual practice intersects with the “world” out there. Where is the edge between the spiritual journey and the marketplace. Are they anathema to each other or can we find a way for them to coexist and fuel each other’s growth and evolution? As a brand professional Tim showed up at Jessica’s talk with Paige at LOCZI Design last year with this frame in mind, and the conversation between consciousness and processes of transformation in branding took off.
Tim: Conscious design. What’s that? And what informs our actions to create identity? It all started with a slide Jessica shared during my first introduction to Conscious Design and continues to unfold and reveal truths about our built environment and stories we tell ourselves.
Jessica: After meeting Tim, all sorts of questions around branding and storytelling really started popping for me. How can consciousness practices transform the brand discovery and identity creation process? Here's one thought, maybe by collaborating with clients rather than doing the work for them, a conscious branding process can integrate spiritual growth, organizational transformation, and a crystallization of identity. The result is collectively arrived at rather than delivered.
